To our patients: Please note that all prescription refills should be handled during regularly scheduled appointments, so plan accordingly prior to traveling over the upcoming holidays. If you are running low on medication refills, it is likely that you are due for a follow-up visit to reassess your condition and whether your current medication regimen is still appropriate.
If you experience a medical emergency while out of town, it would be best for you to seek care from a local urgent care or emergency room physician. Pack enough of your allergy and asthma medications to last for the duration of your trip, and we are happy to provide backup emergency medication prescriptions as well if you have discussed this with our staff during regular office hours.
A little planning and preparation will go a long way toward peace of mind while traveling!
